Thrust roller bearings are mainly divided into four categories. They are primarily designed to withstand heavy axial loads with high rigidity and are generally suitable for low-to-medium speed, heavy-duty working conditions requiring axial positioning or allowing minor misalignment.

1. Thrust Cylindrical Roller Bearings (Series 80000)

  • Structure: Single-row / double-row cylindrical rollers, separable design; single-row for unidirectional axial load, double-row for bidirectional axial load.
  • Features: Ultra-high axial rigidity, large load capacity, strong impact resistance; low limiting speed; no self-aligning ability, requiring high mounting coaxiality.
  • Applications: Heavy-duty machine tools, oil drilling rigs, marine gearboxes, vertical motors, rolling mills, heavy lifting jacking mechanisms.

2. Thrust Tapered Roller Bearings (Series 90000)

  • Structure: Tapered rollers with tapered raceways; TT type (raceway with rib for radial fixing) and TTF type (no rib, allowing slight misalignment).
  • Features: Bear unidirectional / bidirectional axial load; low friction, relatively higher speed; capable of bearing a certain radial load.
  • Applications: Crane hooks, rolling mill necks, mining machinery, construction machinery slewing parts.

3. Spherical Roller Thrust Bearings (Series 29000)

  • Structure: Spherical rollers matched with spherical housing raceway, self-aligning capability (2°~3°).
  • Features: Extremely high axial load capacity; can bear radial load (up to 55% of axial load); compensate for mounting error and shaft deflection; medium to high limiting speed.
  • Applications: Hydroelectric generators, vertical motors, tower cranes, extruders, injection molding machines, air preheaters.

4. Thrust Needle Roller Bearings (AXK Series)

  • Structure: Ultra-thin needle rollers with thin washers, ultra-compact axial dimension.
  • Features: Good axial load capacity, minimal installation space; suitable for low speed, light to medium load and limited axial space.
  • Applications: Gearboxes, differentials, automobile steering mechanisms, small reducers, low-speed heavy-duty rotating components.
